The Challenge
While working as an in-house designer at Invesco, I was tasked with designing the 2020 Annual Gold Report. The goal was to create a visually engaging publication that could function both as a high-quality printed report and as an interactive PDF. The report needed to present complex data clearly, include interactive graph elements, and establish a strong content hierarchy to guide readers through the insights.
The Solution
I began by developing a flexible layout system that balanced rich data visualisation with clear narrative flow. Working closely with the content and data teams, I incorporated interactive graphs that allowed users to engage with the data in the digital version. Careful typographic styling and a refined visual hierarchy ensured that key insights stood out while maintaining the professional tone of the Invesco brand. Both print and digital versions were optimised for clarity, accessibility, and ease of navigation.
The Result
The final report delivered a polished, dual-format solution that met the needs of both traditional and digital audiences. It strengthened Invesco’s reputation for thought leadership in the gold investment space and improved user engagement with the content through interactive features and intuitive design.
